Tampere Saints YOUTH

The Tampere Saints offers a great setting for children and youth to play American football in Pirkanmaa all year round.

Junior activities range from U9 up to U20 year-olds. Join us to play the greatest sport in the world and develop as an athlete. You can find a place to play regardless of age, gender, size or skill level.

The Saints men’s and women’s teams are both among the top in their respective leagues, enabling children and youth to grow and develop up to the adult main league level.

In spring 20217 determined and long term work developing youth organization got rewarded by tittle “Star club” from Finnish Olympic comittee.

Tittle says about Saint’s quality of work for kids and youths sports.

Fairplay rules

Tampere Saints vision is that whole club educate, quides and supports youths and cheer to good act. Our club has different people and all are respected as a person, amateur and athlete.

We will leave good memory of our selfs to peoples minds on and of the field, we will act respectfully towards other people and their fortune.

We will interfere improper language. Intoxicant products, energy drinks, nicotine and doping are absolutely prohibited.

We encourage our youth to notice difference between right and wrong on and of the field.

Summer Football Camp

JOIN TO PLAY?

– Learn Football basics –

FOR WHO?

Summer time football clinic is for 6 to 11- year-old kids in all gender, sizes and sport backgrounds.

WHERE?

In Koivistonkylä every Tuesdays from 5pm to 6pm. Camp starts in May 21th and continues till August 13th.

Camp instructors will be adult players from Tampere Saints, that might have older players from youth teams as an extra hands.

Camp members will only need clothing that suits for moving in outdoors. Own ball or other footballgear woun’t be needed.

Cost 60€ whole summer including Jefukoulu T-shirt.

U11

The U11 team for those born in 2011 or later offers elementary school-aged children the opportunity to explore the basics of American football in a safe environment.

The Little Saints team focuses on practicing techniques, learning terminology, and understanding the essence of the sport. The activities are goal-oriented but not overly serious.

There is room for all boys and girls, regardless of their background in the sport, and new members can join the team throughout the year.

The Tampere Saints U11 team competes in a tournament-style 5vs5 league in the 2023 season.

U13

New players, girls and boys are welcome in our team. Team needs especially bigger kids for offense and defence line. All will type of players will have spot in our team!

Tampere Saints U13 team playes in their age division one that is hold in tournaments.

U15

The Tampere Saints’ U15 team competed in the 1st division during the 2023 season. The U15 team has clinched gold in their league both in 2022 and 2023. The team also featured players from the Pori Bears and Hämeenlinna Tigers.

In the 2023-24 season, the U15 team primarily consists of boys born in 2010 and 2009. Girls can play on the U15 team until they turn 17.

We warmly welcome new players interested in American football to join our team, regardless of their background, size, or other attributes. American football is a so-called late entry sport that can be started in youth or adulthood.

Welcome to our laid-back but wholehearted team! You can come and try it out at any point during the season. The club has loaner equipment available, so you can usually get started without significant initial investments.

During the winter season, the team practices at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Center, Pirkkahalli, and the Tredun sports hall on Sammonkatu. We also offer fitness training sessions that support the sport. During the playing season, we practice on the artificial turf fields in Koivistonkylä and Pyynikki. Many practices are held jointly with the U17 age group.

The season fee for 2024 is 550 euros for the entire year, plus a club membership fee of 50 euros.

U17

The U17 team predominantly consists of players born in 2008 and 2007 for the 2023-24 season. Players born in late 2006 can also play in the U17 league during the 2024 season. We warmly welcome new players interested in American football, regardless of their background, size, or other attributes.

American football is a so-called late-entry sport that can be started in youth or adulthood. Welcome to our relaxed but goal-oriented team! You can come and try it out at any point during the season. The club provides loaner equipment, which usually allows you to get started without significant initial investments.

In the 2023 season, the Tampere Saints’ U17 team competed in the 11 vs. 11 SM series against the Helsinki East City Giants, Helsinki Roosters, Helsinki Wolverines, and Seinäjoki Crocodiles. The team also featured players from the Pori Bears and Hämeenlinna Tigers.

During the off season, the team practices at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Center, Pirkkahalli, and the Tredun sports hall on Sammonkatu. U20 Boys

Saints U20 boys will make their return for the 2024 season, and will join the SM series, which will be played 11vs11.

The team trains with the Saints men’s team on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at Pirkkahalli. The practices will move outdoors in early April.

Boys U20 team practices with mens team in Pyynikki and Koivistonkylä footballfields at pre and in season. Offseason practices focus on weightlifting and developing football techniques. Practices are held in Pirkkahalli.
